Who Am I?

I am a contemporary abstract painter working with oil, cold wax medium and mixed media to explore how memory, emotion and physical experience can be translated into colour. My paintings evolve through many layers, which are added, removed, reworked until the surface becomes a record of time, process and transformation. Every layer contains traces of what has come before, and every decision leaves a mark, visible or hidden. I work in series, almost like musical movements, with each piece carrying a variation, a shift in tone, a new emotional register.

Before becoming an artist, I lived two very different professional lives: one in computer science, another in elite sport. These experiences shape how I approach painting today. Structure and discipline meet intuition and movement; logic meets chance. I follow the painting as it shifts, listening to the work rather than to any preconceived idea.

Recent exhibitions in London and Geneva have reassured me that I am following the right path, one that resonates with others as deeply as it does with me. My paintings now live in private collections in the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, France and Switzerland.
